Heidelberg, October 1, 2026 - io is expanding its Management Board: effective October 1, 2026, Maximilian Bayer has been appointed to the board and is responsible for Sales.
Maximilian Bayer has been with io since 2018. His career at io began even earlier with an internship while studying Chemical and Process Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Since joining the company, he has held various technical, sales, and leadership positions with a focus on business development and sales. Alongside his professional career, he completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Most recently, Bayer served as Business Unit Lead Sales for Logistics, where he was responsible for strategic sales development and played a key role in winning major customer projects. He also contributed to cross-functional sales initiatives and helped win strategically important projects beyond the logistics business.
In his new role, Bayer will work with the other members of the Management Board to further strengthen the company’s sales activities and help shape io’s strategic direction.
