2025 - A year full of impetus and innovation
An interesting 2025 is now drawing to a close with the successful realization of many major projects, strengthening of our sustainability strategy and further development of our service portfolio.
Automation, digitalization and sustainability – our projects have been shaped by these three pillars. We have made it our core mission to be a driving force in the digitalization transformation, foster sustainability in all our projects and provide excellent consulting services to our customers.
Milestones of the year
- erbe 4i FOYA Award: io has implemented a beacon project with erbe 4.i, the new center of excellence of Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH in Rangendingen. The 25,000 m² building complex is one of the first industrial buildings in Germany to meet the KfW Energy Efficiency Standard 40. The project was named a submission finalist at ISPE’s prestigious Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA) in the “Innovation” and “Social Impact” categories, and also received an “Honorable Mention” – a special accolade for projects that successfully overcome exceptional challenges in planning, execution and implementation.
- Innovations and trends: Trends such as virtual reality in factory planning, investment boosters and e-mobility are having a lasting impact on the industry. We have therefore dedicated a special focus to them in the fall issue of our '// plus' customer magazine. These developments open up new opportunities for our customers and clearly demonstrate the direction of travel for the industry.
- Top Employer 2025: io was awarded “Top Employer” by the Top Employers Institute – recognition of our modern corporate culture, HR processes and the way we work together.
- Sustainability in the spotlight: We have set the course to prepare a voluntary Sustainability Code sustainability report from 2026. The new SME module has been available since September and our sustainability team is working intensively on data integration.
Events & Highlights
- ‘io // Thementag 2025’: Around 150 participants met at Gutshof Ladenburg on September 23 to discuss the latest trends in logistics, IT and production. The event offered practical insights into digitalization and sustainable process design.
- Industry presence: We were represented at leading trade fairs such as LogiMAT and the Pharma Congress and demonstrated our expertise in supply chain and production.
Strategic developments
- Digitization & investment booster: Our webinars and whitepapers have shown companies how they can leverage tax benefits and efficiently implement their digitalization roadmap.
- Employer Branding & team spirit: As well as the Top Employer award, we have successfully rolled out our Employer Value Proposition and reinforced our team spirit with events such as the big BBQ in Heidelberg.
Transformation as a guiding principle
For us, transformation not as a trend, but a necessity. We see it as a balance between economy, ecology and social responsibility. Numerous projects – from efficient production facilities and digital supply chains to sustainable logistics solutions – underline our commitment to a sustainable industry.
Outlook for 2026
We look forward to exciting projects and new challenges in the coming year. We will consistently pursue the path we have chosen with innovative technologies, sustainable concepts and a strong team.
